Arnold F. Wellman
Corporate Vice President of Public Affairs, Domestic/International

Arnie has been employed by UPS for 34 years. As Corporate Vice President of Public Affairs, Domestic/International, he is responsible for all worldwide government affairs activities for UPS among the over 220 countries and territories it serves.  UPS has Government Affairs Offices in Paris, Singapore and Canada, Berlin, Brussels, Mexico City, London, Beijing in addition to its state domestic and Washington, D.C. offices.

Arnie built his career in UPS operations where he spent six years in Northeast hub operations, one year in Customer Service, one year in Human Resources, Labor Relations and two years as Manager of package operations for the Virginia/Maryland area.

Mr. Wellman currently serves on the Board of Directors of the US ASEAN Business Council, the US Ukraine Business Council, the National Center for APEC, the National Bureau of Asian Research, the United States Council for International Business, the Committee for Hispanic Children & Families, and is Treasurer of the American Trucking Association.

In addition to his 34 years with UPS, Arnie served three terms (1977-82) as a state legislator from Connecticut’s 76th assembly district.  He was born and raised in Connecticut and presently lives in Arlington, VA.  He is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and attended Emory Business School in Atlanta.
