G.B. Cagninelli’s banking career started in 1962 when he joined Credito Bergamasco in Italy. He then joined American Express Bank, Rome in 1973 to become representative in Italy. In 1977, he was transferred to New York and was responsible for Financial Services Institutions in the European Mediterranean countries. During 1986, he became Senior Vice President responsible for the European area. In 1991, Mr. Cagninelli was appointed Head of Global Financial Institutions Marketing. He currently holds the position of Executive Director and is the Region Head of Central & Eastern Europe, Turkey and Central Asia.
Mr. Cagninelli has spent over 40 years in banking and built up an extensive knowledge in marketing and selling financial services. He has excellent knowledge of domestic retail banking, international and commercial banking.
Mr. Cagninelli is a national of Italy. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Accounting from the Instituto Vittorio Emanuele, II Bergamo, Italy and earned a BA in International Trade from University Milziade Tirandi, Brescia, Italy. He also completed the Executive Management Program at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, NH.
Mr. Cagninelli is an Honorary Member of FOREX Club Italiano and Lion Club International. He is a member of the Bankers Association for Foreign Trade Council in Washington, DC, Executive Committee member of several Chambers and Business Councils in USA, and is a Director of Italy-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. in NY. In 1987 he was awarded title of Cavaliere Della Republica Italiana. He now resides in United States with his wife and 3 daughters.
