DLA PIPER LAW FIRM JOINS U.S.-UKRAINE BUSINESS COUNCIL

The Executive Committee of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC)
is pleased to announce the DLA Piper international law firm has been
approved for membership.   

With over 3,700 lawyers across 64 offices and 25 countries DLA Piper
provides a broad range of legal services and are positioned to help
companies with their legal needs anywhere in the world.

DLA Piper Ukraine LLC is part of DLA Piper global legal services
organization. In Ukraine DLA Piper has a strong team of more than 40
lawyers which is constantly expanding. The Ukrainian practice is headed
by Mrs Margarita Karpenko, Managing Partner.

DLA Piper is the 9th new member for 2008 and the 39th new member for
USUBC since January of 2007.  The other new members in 2008 are
MaxWell USA, Baker and McKenzie, Och-Ziff Capital Management
Group, Dipol Chemical International, MJA Asset Management, General
Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Halliburton.  USUBC now has a total
of 61 members. 

In Ukraine the DLA Piper law firm provides full legal support to clients
within their practice groups: Corporate & Tax, Finance & Projects, Real
Estate & Land, Technology Media & Commercial, Regulatory &
Government Affairs.

The Kyiv office has especially worked with clients in banking, real estate,
media, hospitality, and retail and consumer products, with a particularly
strong emphasis on the food and beverage industry.

The Kyiv lawyers are experienced in a wide variety of high-profile mergers,
acquisitions and corporate transformations, including privatisation, and
have advised on joint venture creation, start-ups and corporate structuring.
