HORIZON CAPITAL TO FORM $300 MILLION INVESTMENT FUND FOR UKRAINE, MOLDOVA AND BELARUS

KYIV - Kyiv-based management company Horizon Capital Associates will create an investment fund called Emerging Europe Growth Fund II, which will invest funds into fast-growing private companies with mid-range capitalization in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, an International Finance Corporation (IFC) statement said.

The fund will come to $300 million, the IFC, which may act as a cofounder of the Emerging Europe Growth Fund II, said. The IFC is ready to invest up to $20 million in the fund. The fund will be directed to such sectors as financial services, consumer goods and retail.

Horizon Capital Associates formed the first Emerging Europe Growth Fund in 2006.
