PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL MEET WITH PRESIDENT VIKTOR YANUKOVYCH OF UKRAINE IN WASHINGTON ON APRIL 12
President Yanukovych also to meet with U.S. business leaders

WASHINGTON, D.C.  - The White House announced today that, "President Obama will meet with President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine on the margins of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington on April 12.  The United States and Ukraine enjoy strong bilateral relations and are working together through the Strategic Partnership Commission to advance our common agenda. 

"The President looks forward to his first opportunity to consult in person with newly-elected President Yanukovych on a broad range of issues of mutual concern, including nuclear non-proliferation, addressing the impacts of the global economic crisis, energy security and defense cooperation."
 
MEETING WITH LEADERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY
Also on the occasion of the participation of the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, in the Nuclear Security Summit, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine to the USA, will host President Yanukovych for a special meeting with over 150 leaders of the United States and international business community. 

President Yanukovych will address the business leaders on the economic, business and governmental issues which influence the new government's program to move Ukraine move out of the current economic crisis and towards positive economic growth.  The U.S-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) will sign a joint cooperation agreement with The Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs at the meeting.

UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES
Attending the meeting for U.S. and international business leaders with President Yanukovych will be Serhiy Lyovochkin, Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine; Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yuriy Boyko, Minister of Fuel and Energy; Fedir Yaroshenko, Minister of Finance; Irina Akimova, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration; Hanna Herman, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine; Andriy Goncharuk, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine; Anatoliy Kinakh, head of The Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Oleh Shamshur, Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA and Hennadii Nadolenko, Head of Trade and Economic Mission, Embassy of Ukraine to the USA.

John Tefft, Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine, will attend the Presidential Luncheon. Representatives of the IMF; Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC); Export-Import Bank of the United States; U.S. Department of State; U.S. Department of Commerce; U.S. Department of Energy; U.S. Department of the Treasury; U.S. Department of Defense; National Security Council; Helsinki Commission; the U.S. Institute of Peace; Office of the United States Trade Representative and the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development will also attend the business leaders meeting with the President of Ukraine.
