Kyiv, Ukraine, 26 May 2016 - Baker & McKenzie Kyiv supported the team from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy that won the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition 2016 which took place from 19 to 21 May 2016 in The Hague, the Netherlands. This is the first time a Ukrainian team has won this competition in the history of independent Ukraine. Taras Varava, Associate, Baker & McKenzie Kyiv, acted as the coach of the winning team.

Also the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy won The Max Huber Award for Best Overall Score, The Carnegie Foundation Award for the Best Memorial on Behalf of the Applicant (ex aequo), and The Carnegie Foundation Award for the Best Memorial on Behalf of the Respondent. Around 25 teams from the top universities across Europe competed in the 39th edition of the Telders Competition 2016.
