Kyiv, 10 February - Maksym Sysoiev, an associate in Dentons’ Kyiv office, was reelected as Co-Chair of the EBA Fuel & Energy Committee for 2017. He will co-chair the committee along with Yaroslav Petrov, Associate at Asters.
Maksym Sysoiev has focused on the energy, oil and gas, agriculture and infrastructure industries for nearly ten years. He is highly regarded in the energy sector and has significant experience providing legal advice on both conventional and renewable energy projects. Maksym is a legal adviser to the Ukrainian Bioenergy Association, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, and the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine. He is also a member of the Commission on Environmental Investments, Alternative and Renewable Sources of Energy within the Entrepreneurial Council of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The EBA Fuel & Energy Committee was established in 2001. It brings together top managers from companies in the fuel and energy sector as well as representatives from law firms and banks. The Committee closely cooperates with state bodies and international institutions, such as the Energy Community, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the EU Support Group for Ukraine, and the International Monetary Fund.
Established in 1999, the EBA provides a forum for members to discuss and find solutions to common problems affecting business in Ukraine. This initiative was initially supported by the European Commission and has grown into one of the largest and most influential business communities in Ukraine.
