Monday, February 5, Ukraine International Airlines launched a new Facebook tool. UIAhelper chatbot is designed to make customer service online more efficient and enjoyable.

Currently, UIAhelper speaks three languages, i.e. Ukrainian, English, and Russian, and helps clear up the following issues:

•          FAQ (check-in procedures, checked baggage allowances, animal carriage, ticket offices details, traveling with children, unaccompanied minors trips, etc.);
•          The UIA products and services (extra baggage, pre-ordered meals, preferred seats, etc.);
•          Panorama Club conditions, benefits, and partners;
•          Weather forecast;
•          Currency converter;
•          Flight status based on flights number or route;
•          Baggage calculator (extra baggage charges);
•          Unaccompanied minors service calculator;
•          Animal carriage service calculator, both in the cabin and in hold.

“Our online helper is still yappy, it does not have all the answers. Meantime, it will be actively learning. The more questions it processes, the faster it learns to consult passengers on diverse aspects of flying with UIA, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director. – If the chatbot can’t provide a comprehensive answer to a passenger’s question, the communication is automatically switched to our Contact Center. We believe that the launch of UIAhelper will make the UIA customer service more efficient.”

The airline expects to enhance the chatbot functionality. Soon, UIAhelper will be able to calculate ticket fares and make bookings, offer passengers a vast selection of UIA additional services and book relevant options, provide information on lost baggage via World Tracer, inform on Panorama Club membership and miles validity, bill additional services and award tickets, as well as book and issue the latter.

Finally, such complex options as ticket and additional service issuance, as well as payments via a credit card will be integrated into the UIAhelper functionality.
