John Shmorhun has been in charge of SigmaBleyzer's agricultural investment division since September of 2009. During the past 17 months SigmaBleyzer, has invested 82.5 million Euro in agriculture and agribusiness in Ukraine and has accumulated over 72,700 hectares of land in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions. John Shmorhun previously spent 17 years as a DuPont executive managing DuPont's agro businesses in Ukraine and Russia.

The "Agribusiness Investment in Ukraine" presentation by John Shmorhun, will be held from12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011, in the offices of Cargill, 1030 15th St, NW, Suite 650W, Washington, DC 20005. After the presentation there will be a Q&A session. There is no charge for the luncheon sponsored by the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). SigmaBleyzer is a member of USUBC.

John Shmorhun was appointed to head up SigmaBleyzer's new agricultural investment division, Harmelia Holdings, in September of 2009. A former DuPont executive, John managed DuPont’s agro businesses in Ukraine and Russia for more than 17 years. He in charge of DuPont's operations in the CIS countries for eight years. Between 2003-2008, was in charge of DuPont’s agrochemical business. Prior to that served as a naval pilot for 10 years.

Mr. Shmorhun has served on many boards, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, DuPont Khimprom CJSC, and DuPont Russian Coatings CJSC. Holds an MBA from the International Management Institute in Geneva and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the US Naval Academy. He is originally from Maryland, USA.
