The Ukrainian Agri & Food Innovation Forum ’16 takes place on June 8, 2016 under the patronage of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The Forum will be organized within the framework of the XXVIII International Agricultural Exhibition “AGRO-2016” in the “Expocenter of Ukraine” National Complex (1, Hlushkova Ave., pavilion 7, Kyiv). The Organizer of the Exhibition is the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Organizer of the Forum is A7 CONFERENCES, the Official Partners of the Forum are Dentons International Law Firm, ArtBudService Construction Company, Kyivstar and Orange Park.

The Forum will serve as a unique platform for a constructive dialogue between the government, business and investors. The purpose of the Forum is to outline the trends of the domestic agricultural business and to find the ways to facilitate entry of foreign investments into the Ukrainian market. The “AGRO-2016” Exhibition will be held on June 08-11, 2016; it is the largest agroindustrial exhibition in Eastern Europe, which is annually visited by more than 60 thousand participants.

The Ukrainian agricultural sector has been the most attractive area for investors for several years. Therefore, the Forum participants will consider the issues and challenges of financing the agriculture, as well as the problems of small and medium-sized farmers.

Taras Kutovyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, pointed out: “The purpose of the department is to be a loyal business partner. The completion of the land reform and privatization of state enterprises are two of the three main tasks of the Ministry within the framework of the area reforming strategy «3+5». Regulated land relations will simplify the functioning of the business and will guarantee the investment protection. In its turn, the privatization will bring not only money but also new technologies, will allow to create new jobs, fill the budgets of all levels. The third priority of our work is providing the direct state support to small and medium farmers. They have become a centre for the creation of surplus value and the basis of the industry. This will lead the Ukrainian agriculture to a new level.”

Vladyslava Rutytska, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration, stressed: “Ukraine does have the potential to become an agricultural superpower. That is, the country that has a modern, modernized agricultural complex, develops new technologies and is a world leader in their implementation. The state where the AGC is not based on the export of raw materials, but on the manufacture and sale of products with high added value, where agriculture is the engine of the economy and creates hundreds of thousands of jobs in the related industries. The place where the profile of higher education allows to attract the best young talents from all over Eastern Europe, where active large IT-hubs operate for the needs of agriculture, developing products that are readily bought in the world.”

The Forum will discuss the agroindustrial strategy for 2015-2020 and the status of the integration processes in the agricultural sector. The participants will also pay attention to the issues of innovations, improvement of processing efficiency and funding prospects of the agricultural projects by international financial institutions.

The participants include the heads of the top 100 Ukrainian and international companies in the field of agriculture, Ukrainian manufacturers in the agricultural sector, foreign investors, international financial corporations and foreign embassies representatives.
