The CSR Centre is the leading expert organization in Ukraine that does not only implements projects required by the Ukrainian business, but also helps companies to develop CSR strategies and prepare non-financial reports. They cooperate with international experts from 20 countries.

Maryna Saprykina stated, "Ukraine's transition to a stable economic development, its integration into the European and global communities, require new practices of cooperation between the state and business, as was as business and society, which would make it possible to enhance the mutual responsibility of all those participating in social life and to produce a new environment for the future stable development of the state and society, taking into account the widest possible interests.

"CSR in Ukraine is in the formative stage. The most active entities in this area include, first and foremost, the representative offices of international companies, which introduce new global practices, principles and standards to Ukrainian society, as well as the largest Ukrainian companies. The number of companies in Ukraine that believe that business should take an active part in resolving social and environmental problems has increased twofold - from 32.7% in 2005 to 68% in 2010.

"Today, the "corporate social responsibility" (CSR) concept is widely implemented in the economically most developed countries of the world. It is perceived as "a concept under which companies integrate social and environmental matters into their commercial activities and their cooperation with the interested parties on a voluntary basis."

"Thus, CSR is a voluntary activity of private and public companies aimed at following the high standards of operational and manufacturing activities, social standards and quality of work with personnel, minimizing harmful impact on the environment, etc., in order to level the existing economic, social disparities, create trustful relations between business, society and the state. At present CSR of business is a common rule followed by most large, medium-sized and small companies in the world.
