WASHINGTON, D.C. - The executive committee of the U.S.-Ukraine Business
Council (USUBC), on behalf of the entire membership, is most pleased to
announce that Edelman has been approved USUBC membership. Edelman is
USUBC member number 89.

Edelman is the world's largest independent public relations firm, with 3,000

The support that Edelman provides to pan-European clients out of its Brussels office is founded on its understanding of European political and cultural trends and nuances, and its recognition of commercial imperatives.

The public affairs team works with clients to help them communicate with
European institutions and navigate the political landscape. The staff also
builds coalitions between partners with common interests, both in Brussels
and across the EU, which enables clients to reach broad and diverse audiences.

Edelman's clients have included TXU, British Petroleum, Chiquita, KSA,
EEMF (European Energy Millennium Forum), DuPont, Ecco, UPS and Bunge.

USUBC has been working with Jere Sullivan, Vice Chairman Europe , since last December on corporate issues related to Ukraine, Jere will represent Edelman on the USUBC board of directors.

Edelman provides public affairs and communications support to a host of clients in Brussels and throughout Europe helping them to navigate issues in the private and public sector.  It does so through a campaign style approach combining lobbying with third party coalition building, traditional and digital communications.

Edelman is uniquely qualified to help companies build and maintain productive relationships with non-governmental organizations as well as with other new voices of civil society.

With a Public Affairs team spanning the major EU capitals Edelman has the reach to impact issues at the European and national level.

Edelman in Brussels has particular strength in the areas of:

Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration is first and foremost today being driven
by the private business community in Ukraine, Europe, and the United States.

"Ukraine's aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration, to be a major member of
the world's community of strong, democratic, independent, prosperous, private business sector driven nations, will be realized largely through the present leadership and investments from the business community and then hopefully with some real support later from the politicians and government leaders," wrote Morgan Williams, SigmaBleyzer, who serves as President of USUBC, in a recent article published by the "Welcome to Ukraine" magazine.
