Kyiv - Within the frames of full legal support provision in Ukraine, DLA Piper assisted InterContinental Hotels Group, an international operator of several hotel chains, with obtaining of the approval of the Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee (AMCU) for management of the Crowne Plaza Kyiv, a 4-star hotel complex of 225 rooms in the center of Kyiv, Korolenkivska Street.  The hotel complex is being constructed by ITT-Plaza, member of ITT-Group, a Ukrainian finance and investment company.

Previously, DLA Piper team advised the client on the preparation and signing of management contract for this hotel complex with the ITT-Group.

This is the second project of InterContinental Hotels Group in Ukraine with participation of DLA Piper.  DLA Piper also advised InterContinental on the first hotel management project under the brand of InterContinental in Ukraine.  Within that project DLA Piper provided tax structuring, IP and antimonopoly advice to the client as well as assisted with drafting and negotiating management agreement.
