We are pleased to share with you the news that four high-profile experts have recently joined PwC Ukraine’s Tax and Legal practices.

Olena Makeieva and Kostiantyn Kositskiy joined PwC Ukraine’s tax team as Of Counsels, Dmytro Donets  and Olga Balytska joined firm’s legal team as the Head of the Dispute Resolution and Real Estate practices respectively.

​Olena Makeieva  joined PwC Ukraine tax team as Of Counsel.  

Olena will lead client projects focusing primarily on the preparation for implementation of international taxation rules, specifically the implementation of BEPS legislation.

Olena is an experienced professional with strong background in tax consulting and managing projects in the public sector.

In the past, Olena started her own successful audit and consulting company, and subsequently held the position of Deputy Finance Minister of Ukraine. She is currently advisor to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine and represents our country in international tax forums. 

Dmytro Donets joined PwC Ukraine’s legal team as the Head of the Dispute Resolution practice (Tax and Commercial Litigation).

Dmytro is a senior tax lawyer with extensive experience in dispute resolution, as well as a profound knowledge of corporate taxation (including financial accounting and reporting), transfer pricing, investment structuring and profit repatriation issues.

His expertise comes from more than ten years of working as a tax consultant and two years of experience in leading the tax dispute department of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS).

While working at the SFS, Dmytro managed the tax litigation and pre-court appeal functions, both at headquarter level and regional level (overseeing around 2,000 employees in total). 

Prior to joining the SFS, Dmytro spent about 7 years with DLA Piper Ukraine as a Senior Tax Associate. In this capacity, he advised local and multinational clients on various tax, customs and regulatory issues, and assisted clients in the course of tax audits and post audit negotiations with tax authorities.

Kostiantyn Kositskiy joined PwC Ukraine’s tax team as Of Counsel. In PwC Ukraine Kostiantyn will be involved in the implementation of projects related to the setup and development of the tax function of the firm's clients. 


Kostiantyn a recognized expert in domestic and international taxation. 

For the past 11 years he has been managing the tax department at DTEK, a large energy holding. During this time, he succeeded in developing an effective business model of the tax department and integrating it into the existing structure of the holding that was crucial for shaping the reputation of DTEK as a conscientious taxpayer.
Olga Balytska joined PwC Ukraine’s legal team as the Head of the Real Estate practice.

Olga is a well-known legal expert dealing with real estate, construction and land use, with track record of more than 15 years of advising leading multinational and domestic companies. 

She was repeatedly elected as a Chair of the Real Estate Committee of the European Business Association, and is an active member of the Commission on Urban Development, Architecture and Land Use.

Being a member of the Kyiv City Council, she came up with numerous initiatives aiming at resolving most of scandal-laden developments in the city of Kyiv and helped drafting ordinances that introduced fundamental changes to urban development
