WASHINGTON, D.C. - Toepfer International, Hamburg, Germany, a major international trader in grain, feedstuffs, oilseeds, vegetable oils and fertilizers, has been approved for membership in the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the USUBC executive committee announced today on behalf of the entire USUBC membership of over 160 companies and organizations who have business operations, investments or other development programs in Ukraine.

Alfred C. Toepfer has been active in trading grain, oilseeds and feedstuffs since its founding in 1919. Today, the worldwide organization of Toepfer International, founded in 1979, consists of the headquarters in Hamburg, and 38 branches all over the world including Ukraine.

Toepfer International offers a comprehensive range of agricultural commodities in world trade. Their presence in all important exporting countries allows them to offer the market these products 365 days a year at the best possible prices. SHAREHOLDERS - ADM & INVIVO
Toepfer International and its shareholders ADM (an original member of USUBC in 1995) and InVivo cover the entire spectrum of the agricultural business from originating and processing in the producing countries to the delivery to the processors or consumers throughout the world. At the same time, the shareholders are business partners and major buyers of the commodities Toepfer trades.

Today ADM owns 80 percent of the shares of Toepfer International, while InVivo owns 20 percent. InVivo is a French cooperative, headquartered in Paris. Its business activities focus on the storage and marketing of grain and seeds and on animal nutrition.

Alfred C. Toepfer International (Ukraine) Ltd. has been a major player on the grain, feedstuffs and oilseed markets in Ukraine since the early 1990's. USUBC has been working closely the past few months with Irina Prisyazhnyuk, General Director, Toepfer International (Ukraine), and with Ludwig Striewe, Deputy General Director, Toepfer International (Ukraine), on a range of agribusiness issues. Irina will represent Toepfer International (Ukraine) on the USUBC Board of Directors.

The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), founded in 1995 in Washington, D.C., now has over one-hundred sixty members. Membership in January of 2005 was eight, in January of 2007 was 22, reached 100 by January of 2009 and topped 150 in January of 2011.
