As part of the Discover Ukraine program, Ukraine International Airlines became the carrier of The Victors exhibition, the joint social project of TSN and Viva! Magazine.

February 28, 2016, on UIA non-stop scheduled PS145 flight 30 artworks, the exhibition`s curator and volunteer Solomiya Vitvitska and art photographer Aleksandr Moderer traveled to Brussels to present The Victors project during Ukraine Week, which will be held at European Parliament between February 29 and March 2, 2016. The exhibition is dedicated to the heroes of the ATO in Eastern Ukraine and volunteers who lost body parts militarily but did not lose true grit and, having undergone prosthetic treatment, live a full-fledged life, find their place in the world and inspire others.

The project is presented in Brussels with the assistance of Volodymyr Groysman, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Iryna Herashchenko, the member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Commissioner for the President of Ukraine for peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Currently, Ukraine is negotiating about presenting the project in the NATO headquarters in Brussels. In 2016, the exhibition will be displayed in the cities of Ukraine, Europe, Canada and the US.

“The war in Donbas took the lives of thousands of Ukrainians – both military and civilian, maimed tens of thousands of people, forced hundreds of thousands to relocate from Eastern Ukraine and become the IDPs, – notedIryna Herashchenko. – International community must be kept informed on both the truth about the tragedy in Ukraine and the heroism of our soldiers who lay down their lives to protect not only the territorial integrity of our country, but also the EU fundamental principles and values. I want to thank UIA for carrying the exhibition. I believe UIA`s support to be an example of a socially responsible business”.

“We were bound to lend support to the socially significant project designed to draw attention of the members of European Parliament and international community to insecurity in Eastern Ukraine, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – Tragically, the number of the disabled in our country grows every single day. People with special needs should undergo treatment and rehabilitation and afterwards have an opportunity to live a full-fledged life, to enjoy professional growth, to organize their leisure, to start a family, to travel, etc. We are always ready to help our heroes by carrying them and companions to their destination”.
