On May 15-17 2019, the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted the course “Professional Responsibility and Ethics in the Global Legal Market” for Ukrainian university students. The course was organized by DLA Piper and participants heard from foreign experts on the history of legal ethics and practices across different countries.

Senior legal practitioners Delphine Nougayrède, Thomas McDonald and Marc Polonsky together with DLA Piper Corporate partner Galyna Zagorodniuk and DLA Piper Corporate Litigation & Regulatory partner Olga Vorozhbyt shared their relevant experiences with attendees. Furthermore, different international case studies were discussed with the Institute students and professors.

To attend, candidates were invited to submit an essay written in English, on professional lawyers' responsibility to society. The authors of the best 36 works were chosen to participate in the course.
