On April 19, 2020, an aircraft chartered by Donbasenergo PJSC landed at Boryspil Airport, which delivered 12 tons of the indispensable personal protective equipment needed to combat COVID-19 to Ukraine from Chengdu (Sichuan Province).
• 500,000 disposable masks;
• 150,000 respirators;
• 400,000 disposable gloves;
• 15,000 reusable protective suits for physicians;
• 20,000 glasses and protective shields;
• 800 contactless thermometers.
All these remedies are intended to protect the public and medical staff working in the difficult conditions of confronting a life-threatening illness.
Donbassenergo is grateful to partners from Dongfang Electric International Corporation (Chengdu, China) for helping to implement this challenging project!
Customs clearance is now underway. It is planned that most of it will be donated to the Health Department of Donetsk region on April 21.
For reference: As of 04/01/2020, 60.86% of the shares of PJSC “Donbasenergo” belong to the Private Joint Stock Company “ENERGOINVEST HOLDING”, 25% + 1 share - to the state represented by the State Property Fund of Ukraine, 14.14% to other minority shareholders.
Donbassenergo PJSC combines two power plants: the Slavyansk and Starobeshevskaya TPPs (the latter since 2014 is located in the territory not controlled by Ukraine). As of March 2017, the performance indicators of assets located in the temporarily occupied territory in Donetsk region are not included in the consolidated reporting of Donbasenergo due to the loss of control over them.
The total installed capacity of the Slavic TPP is 880 MW.
