WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) welcomes the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) as a new member. The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) was established in 1990 in Kyiv. AUB is a non-governmental organization that unites Ukrainian banks and banking unions. The Association was established to promote the development of the banking system of Ukraine and protect the interests of its members.

AUB unites banks operating in Ukraine and represents their systemic interests in relations with the National Bank of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Office of the President, Cabinet of Ministers, State Tax Administration, Supreme Court of Ukraine, and other governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations. The goal of the AUB is to promote and develop the banking system of Ukraine.

Most of the banks operating in Ukraine have joined the AUB. The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB) seeks to protect the rights of banks; provide legal guarantees for their activities; promote the development of a legal framework for banks; assist in improving the skills and professionalism of managers, specialists in banks, etc.

"Cooperation with the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) facilitates the exchange of world best practices” said President of the AUB, Andriy Dubas.

"We hope that AUB's membership in the USUBC will promote joint projects and strengthen the economic and financial sectors of both countries" said Galyna Kheylo, Vice-President of The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB).
