On Wednesday, June 26 the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) hosted a roundtable with His Excellency Ambassador William B. Taylor. The meeting took place at the conference Room offices of SigmaBleyzer and was moderated by Morgan Williams, President of USUBC.

During the roundtable participants talked about business and investment climate in Ukraine, priority reforms, U.S. – Ukraine relations.

USUBC is pleased to welcome Ambassador William B. Taylor back to Ukraine as Chargé d’Affaires a.i.  Ambassador Taylor brings a wealth of diplomatic experience to the U.S. Embassy during this very important time in U.S.-Ukraine relations.  The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) has worked closely with Ambassador Taylor for many years. He served as a Senior Advisor to USUBC for ten years from 2009 to 2019. 

Ambassador Taylor served as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine from 2006 to 2009 and has also served as the State Department’s special coordinator for Middle East Transitions, the U.S. representative to the Mideast Quartet, and in other diplomatic roles.  His full bio can be found at https://ua.usembassy.gov/. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President at the U.S. Institute of Peace.  While Executive Vice President of USIP the Ambassador attended many USUBC meetings in Washington and has been on the program several times as such meetings.

Ambassador Taylor arrived back in Ukraine on Monday, June 17, 2019.  “I look forward to leading the U.S. Embassy team in building strong working relationships with President Zelenskyy and his team, other Ukrainian officials and political forces, and in maintaining our strong partnerships with civil society organizations and the Ukrainian people,” Ambassador Taylor said.  “The United States remains deeply committed to the success of a stable, prosperous, democratic and free Ukraine, and we continue to stand in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
