Vitalii Tarasiuk, Minister-Counselor, Head of Economic and Trade Office, Embassy of Ukraine to the USA received a Distinguished Service Award at the US-Ukraine Business Council meeting in Washington, D.C on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, before the end of his term on this position.

Vitalii arrived to Washington as Head of Economic and Trade Office of the Ukrainian Embassy in 2015, and since then he has been providing overall support in promoting U.S.-Ukraine business and trade relations. Vitalii facilitated multiple meetings between the Ukrainian Government and business community, has always been very proactive and helpful. U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) and its members appreciate Vitalii's service and wish him the best of luck and success!
BIO: VITALII TARASIUK - MINISTER-COUNSELOR, HEAD OF ECONOMIC AND TRADE OFFICE, EMBASSY OF UKRAINE TO THE USA
Vitalii Tarasiuk has been serving as Minister-Counselor, Head of Economic and Trade Office, Embassy of Ukraine to the USA since January 2015. From December 2012 till December 2014 - Diplomatic Adviser to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine. Was responsible for bilateral and multilateral international cooperation of the Ministry of Finance, particularly, relations with diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine and IFI’s (organizations of the World Bank Group, EBRD, EIB, IMF).
From August 2010 to November 2012 held the position of the First secretary of the Economic Section at the Embassy of Ukraine to the United States (Washington DC). Was overseeing Ukraine’s cooperation with IFI’s and Ukrainian-American cooperation in the financial and energy sectors, international energy security issues.
From October 2004 to August 2008 held the position of the First secretary at the Embassy of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (London). Was responsible for the development of bilateral political dialogue between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, inter-parliamentary co-operation, relations with non-governmental organizations, academic institutions.
Education: Graduated from Kyiv National Economic University, majoring in "International Economics" and received a master's degree in international economics with specialization in international investment management;
