On behalf of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council and all event partners, it is our pleasure to invite you to a charitable event and reception “Heroes support heroes” on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Ukraine House (2134 Kalorama Rd NW, Washington, D.C.). 

This fundraising event is dedicated to providing support to the families and children of Ukrainian veterans.

Ambassador Oksana Markarova will attend together with the Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine, Ms. Yuliya Laputina and veterans from Ukraine.

Prior to her appointment as Minister for Veteran Affairs, Ms. Laputina held managerial positions in Security Service of Ukraine. She also served in Donbass with anti-terrorist operation forces. She holds a rank of major general of Ukraine Security Service.  

Event guests will also enjoy a buffet with Ukrainian food, musical performances, and a silent auction.

The fee of 150 USD will be used to support the Ukrainian Veteran Foundation's small grants to Ukraine's army veterans.

NOTE: This event will feature a performance of a prominent Ukrainian violinist, singer, and active member of armed forces of Ukraine Moisei Bondarenko. Moisei became famous for his impressive performances on the violin from the Ukrainian frontline.

The Ukrainian Veterans Foundation (UVF) is a platform for developing veterans' opportunities. It’s an institution under the management of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

UVF provides financial support to veterans and their family members, support projects aimed at reintegration of veterans and their family members, ensuring the preservation and restoration of their physical and mental health; supporting veterans' businesses, and assistance in their employment; advocacy, informational campaigns, and conducting researches.
