01 June 2013, DHL Express Ukraine held an environmental campaign "DO A DEED TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!". We spent this day as a celebration of volunteers who care about nature. More than 70 volunteer employees of Kyiv office cleaned the territory of M.M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden, located in the center of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

The most beautiful part of the Botanical Garden was chosen for the campaign – ROSARY! This rosary is the biggest in Europe. Imagine a territory whose area is 3.5 hectares (this is approximately 5 soccer fields). And now imagine that roses are planted all over this territory: big and small, fluffy and flat, twining and climbing, red, white, orange, yellow ones…400 kinds in total!

Any natural beauty needs support, care and protection. Volunteers of DHL Express Ukraine helped to prepare the rosary for the summer season. From the very morning the work was humming. Thanks to volunteers’ consolidated efforts, a lot of work was done: digging up, tillage, weeding and cleaning of flowerbeds, dressing and many other works.

Diligently done work pleased us and the garden thanked us for the provided support by presenting its insane beauty – the work of art, created by an inspired man whose Muse is the Nature itself. It was pleasant that after the cleanup the most beautiful roses were presented to every volunteer girl.

We thank all volunteers of DHL Express Ukraine for their active participation in the ecological campaign. You spent this Day not only benefitting Kyiv’s ecology but also for the sake of your interest and sense of ownership for the Nature!

Also, on this Day environmental campaigns were conducted in other Ukrainian cities where DHL has offices.
