UkraineInternational states that the information that UIA account has been attached isinconsistent with the facts. The carrier is concerned about the series ofpublications and pieces in the national mass media aimed at spreading panicamong UIA clients, partners and counterparts, as well as inflicting financialloss and hurting business reputation of the leading Ukraine’s carrier.
Over 22 years ofoperation on aviation market, UIA has not thrown any discredit upon its reliabilityand responsibility to passengers and fully complied with its obligations toclients, partners, and counterparts. Despite the political and economic crisisUIA makes every effort to maintain the integrity of its domestic andinternational route network, to operate all flights as scheduled, to implementflexible and sustainable pricing policy offering passengers a number of specialticket fares.
Furthermore, UIAstrictly complies with the current legislation of Ukraine and scrupulouslysatisfies judicial rulings.
Dissemination offalse information was prompted by the ruling dated November 18, 2014. TheEconomic Court of Kiev ordered on interim measures of protection to secure theclaim of the First Deputy Prosecutor of Kiev to recover 5.4 million UAH fromUIA. Further to the abovementioned, the funds on one of the carrier`s accountswith JSC “Finance and Credit Bank” may be attached. UIA does not acknowledgethe debt which is being challenged at court. Currently, the case is not sealed.
Moreover, UIA deemsthat the court had no legal basis to take such measures of protection. In thisregard the Airline filed the appeal on November 24, 2014.
Currently, UIAkeeps on using the bank account in question. However, in case the account isoptionally blocked, it will neither freeze UIA`s operations nor break theairline`s flight schedule. Moreover, by no means will it distract UIA fromcomplying with its obligations to passengers, partners, and counterparts.
