Alyona Onishchenko, Director of Marketing and Development at Sayenko Kharenko, has been appointed to the INTA Pro Bono Committee for the 2022-2023 term.
Alyona will be involved in identifying and developing opportunities to serve low-income individuals, small- to medium enterprises, and nonprofit or charitable organisations with low operating budgets that might not otherwise have access to legal assistance. The Pro Bono Committee also raises awareness of INTA’s pro bono offerings and develops strategies to cultivate partnerships with other legal and non-legal pro bono programs.
“It is a great honour for me to be appointed to the INTA’s Pro Bono Committee for 2022-2023 and to become the only marketing specialist on the Committee. Sayenko Kharenko always supports various charitable initiatives because corporate social responsibility is an important part of the firm’s activities. We understand that no business can isolate itself from society or remain uninvolved in addressing social issues. For the last five years, we have implemented and supported more than a hundred CSR projects: from high-profile initiatives such as the Power of Signature project to focused initiatives such as the legal hackathon of automating typical legal clinics’ workload,” commented Alyona.
The International Trademark Association (INTA) is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. Members include nearly 6,500 organisations, representing more than 34,350 individuals (trademark owners, professionals, and academics) from 185 countries, who benefit from the INTA’s global trademark resources, policy development, education and training, and international network. This year, more than 3,900 member volunteers applied to serve on INTA committees.
